Let us sell it from our floor

If your car is worth more than we would pay for it outright, consignment is the honest answer. You keep the upside, we do the photography, the phone calls and the paperwork.

How consignment works here

You bring the car in. We put it through our own bay, agree what it needs and what you want to spend, then photograph it in daylight on the same wall as everything else, undercarriage included.

We agree a target price and a floor before it lists. You are not going to find out we sold your car for less than you would have accepted, because the floor is written down and we cannot go under it without calling you.

Then it sits on the showroom floor rather than in a driveway, and the people who walk past it are people already shopping this kind of car. We take the calls, run the tyre-kickers off, arrange the pre-purchase inspections and handle the title work.

Our fee is a flat number agreed up front, not a percentage that grows as the car does. If the car sells for more than we expected, that is your money.

Not every car is right for consignment. If the market is thin or the number you want is not the number the market has, we will say so on the first phone call instead of parking your car here for four months.

Consignment questions

What sort of cars do you take?

Exotics, classics and genuinely interesting modern cars. For an ordinary daily driver, consignment rarely beats a straight sale, and we will tell you that rather than take the listing.

How long does it take?

Most consigned cars sell inside sixty days. Priced correctly, closer to thirty. Priced hopefully, they sit, which is the one variable entirely in your hands.

Who insures it while it is with you?

We carry the car on our garage policy from the moment it is in the building. You keep your own policy in force until title transfers, which your broker will want anyway.

Can I change my mind?

Yes. Come and collect it, no charge beyond any work you asked us to do. We would rather you left happy than felt trapped in an agreement.
